Since the beginning of Advent, I’ve been hearing the same questions:
Will there be a Lent study?
Have you thought about doing Lent?
Will we have Lent Illustrated?
I am happy to share, after weeks of reflection and preparation, that there will be a Lent Illustrated this year. While I am still smoothing out the kinks and writing the reflections for each week, I can tell you a little about it so far.
When will Lent Illustrated 2016 be happening?
Lent Illustrated will be running for eight weeks, from Wednesday, February 10th, 2016, to Sunday, March 27th, 2016. We begin on Ash Wednesday and end on Easter Sunday.
What is the theme for Lent Illustrated 2016?
Our theme will be Reflection and Renewal. We will use this time to reflect on Lent, reflect on our lives and our relationship with God, and celebrate the currents of grace and renewal that run through our faith.
How will the study be set up?
Lent Illustrated will be divided into four units. Each week will have two verses, a Reflection verse and a Renewal verse. You are welcome to illustrate either verse, or both.
Will there be an eBook for Lent Illustrated?
I am currently hard at work at putting together an eBook version of our study. What I love about the eBooks is that they allow members of our community to work at their own pace and save the prompts after they are done. However, due to the medical crisis of a loved one, I am working to compile the book a little later than usual. The book will release on Ash Wednesday, February 10th, 2016.
How can I get the eBook?
It will be available on Gumroad and on Patreon.
Will there be a print book for Lent Illustrated?
No, there will only be an eBook version of this study. You are welcome to print out the PDF and have it bound, or put it in a binder yourself.
I have another question!
Great! Please feel free to ask in the comments or in the Facebook group. I look forward to hearing from you!
